POP authentication Example setup using Outlook Express.
This POP example can be used for Outlook Express and Outlook 97-2000. IMAP can also be used, but the important piece is the SMTP Authentication. If your client is unable to send email via SMTP, it won't retrieve any email either. |

First: go to the Tools menu, and then click Accounts. | ||||
Next, Select the Account you setup for VFEmail. | |||||||
On the 'Servers' tab:
Make sure you are using POP3 (or IMAP), and the last check-box: "My server requires authentication" is checked. |

On the 'Advanced' tab, make sure you are using SSL for incoming OR outgoing mail. | |||||||
Outlook should now be ready to send and receive mail.

In Outlook Express..
Under the Tools Menu, Select Options. This dialog will come up. Make sure 'Send and receive messages at startup' is checked. |
